Pottstown High School Auditorium
Audiobahn upgraded the Pottstown High School auditorium with a new JBL constant-curve line array system, dual 18” subs, and a full Crown amplification package to dramatically improve intelligibility and coverage throughout the space. The install also included a new Allen & Heath dLive S3500 mixing console with configuration and training for their staff and students.
Pottstown High School partnered with Audiobahn to modernize the sound system in their auditorium, focusing on improving intelligibility, consistency, and full-room coverage for theatrical productions, music performances, and school events. To achieve this, we installed a four-element-per-side JBL constant curve array with 12-inch drivers, mounted high in the rafters between existing acoustic panels. We carefully relocated several acoustic clouds to create proper space for the arrays while maintaining a clean and unobtrusive visual profile that blends naturally with the auditorium’s architecture.
To support full-range performance, the system includes dual 18-inch subwoofers on each side of the stage pit, providing powerful low-frequency extension without overpowering the room. All loudspeakers are powered through a dedicated Crown amplification system integrated into the school’s existing stage racks. After installation, we provided a complete system tuning and optimization to ensure balanced, even coverage from the front row to the back of the balcony.
As part of the upgrade, the school also received a new Allen & Heath dLive S3500 mixing console — a flagship surface offering extensive processing power, flexibility, and ease of use for both staff and students. We configured the console to suit their workflow and provided hands-on training to help their team get the most out of the new system.
This installation gives Pottstown High School a robust, professional-grade audio system designed to support their auditorium, theater, and music programs for years to come.
